The Consultative Committee met Tuesday to set the outlines for Covid policy in the coming months. Throughout the summer, more and more will become possible. Here’s what was announced during the press conference. Today at 15:43

STEP 1: 9 JUNE

These relaxations will take effect on June 9, if at least 80 percent of the high-risk patients have received at least one dose of the vaccine fourteen days earlier and if the utilization in the intensive care unit has fallen to a maximum of 500 patients:

  • The indoor areas of the hospitality industry may be open from 8 am to 10 pm. On the terraces of those businesses it is from 8 am to 11.30 pm. Both indoors and outdoors, a maximum of four people – or more if they belong to the same family – may sit at a table and there must be a distance of one and a half metres between them.
  • Fairgrounds, fairs, flea markets, bowling alleys, casinos, cinemas and fitness centres are allowed to reopen. Inside, this must be done with the necessary attention to ventilation.
  • It will also be allowed to hold worship services, weddings and funerals again with 100 people inside and 200 outside.
  • Indoorevents are allowed with 200 persons, outdoor events with 400 persons.
  • We can again receive four people at home. Children are not counted.
  • On the shop floor , return moments may be organised, but no more than one day a week.
  • Indoorsports camps are allowed to have 50 participants, outdoor camps are allowed to have 100.
  • For youth camps , the maximum number remains 50 both indoors and outdoors. Overnight stays are not allowed yet.
  • Nature parks, zoos and amusement parks may also reopen indoors.
  • Inside, parties and receptions can again. There may be 50 people present, according to the rules that also apply to the catering industry.

STEP 2: 1 JULY

  • Working from home is no longer mandatory, but it is still recommended.
  • Youth activities and camps can be done with 100 people, even overnight stays are possible.
  • Events can be held inside with 2,000 attendees, outside with 2,500.
  • Parties and receptions can take place inside with up to 100 people, according to the rules of the catering industry.
  • Restrictions on non-professional sports are eliminated.
  • Also for shopping there are no more restrictions.
  • Ceremonies, weddings and funerals can be held inside with 200 people, outside with 400.

STEP 3: 30 JULY

  • Youth activities and camps can accommodate up to 200 people, with overnight stay.
  • Events can be held inside with 3,000 attendees, outside with 5,000.
  • Parties and receptions can take place inside with up to 250 people, according to the rules of the catering industry.
  • Trade shows can reopen.
  • Ceremonies, weddings and funerals can be held inside with 200 people, outside with 400.
  • For markets, fairs, brocantes, flea markets and fairs all restrictions are lifted.
  • Large festivals can be held again from August 13. To be allowed to attend, you will either have to be vaccinated or pass a negative test. A separate ticketing system will also be created: the Corona Safety Ticket.

STEP 4: 1 SEPTEMBER

All restrictions are removed to the maximum extent.
